First American Title Insurance Company, Utah Division (formerly Security Title Company) was incorporated December 4, 1954. Since 1962, it has been affiliated with First American Title Insurance Company, the largest independent title insurance company in the United States. With over 300 employees, and offices located throughout Utah, the Utah Division of First American Title Insurance Company has become the largest direct title insurance underwriter in the state. Unrivaled in financial strength and industry expertise, we provide the finest, most complete title and escrow services available. Even though we provide the benefits of a large national underwriter, we have always maintained the personalized, customer focused service that we are known for.

Our experienced and highly trained title and policy personnel thoroughly prepare each title insurance policy, which includes researching, examining, and interpreting all legal records pertaining to a property's history.

Most of the property research is centered around our title plants; they contain duplicates of documents and legal proceedings pertinent to real property recorded in the county recorder's office and other government agencies. Our title plant files in Salt Lake City, Ogden, Layton, Park City, Heber, Orem, Richfield, Fillmore, Cedar City, and St. George are updated daily. We also have direct title operations in Brigham City, Tremonton, Logan, Manti, Tooele and Mesquite, Nevada. Our vast coverage enables us to service seventeen counties through direct operations and an additional twelve counties through our agents, making us your full service title company for the entire state of Utah.

In addition, First American Title Insurance Company, Utah Division has experienced and competent escrow officers and assistants for handling all escrow services. We have expedited residential and commercial closings for some of the largest property developments in Utah and are proud of our accomplishments.
